warranty and repair terms

warranty

  • The warranty period varies by product and is described in the user manual, on the packaging or in the item description on our website.
  • Influences such as normal wear and tear, normal service life and correct use are decisive for the warranty claim within the warranty period. These factors have a particular influence on certain product groups, such as batteries. 
  • For consumer products, the warranty period is generally 24 months after the consumer's first purchase.
  • If a product is repaired or replaced during the warranty period, the warranty period will not restart.
  • If the warranty period cannot be found in the article documentation, please contact us.

reporting repairs

  • Because the nature of the defect or repair is decisive for further handling, please report the repair to us by e-mail.
  • Please describe in the e-mail the article, the defect and the date of purchase.
  • You will then receive instructions from us.

submitting an article for repair

  • Return the item to be repaired complete with its adapters/accessories.
  • Enclose a copy of the purchase receipt and the completed repair form.
  • In the case of consumer goods, enclose a copy of your bill of sale to the consumer.
  • Of course, we will always contact you if anything is unclear.
  • Please note: Since Sennheiser performs all service operations itself, they ask you to contact them directly for this product group.

handling of repairs

  • The product will be examined by us and where possible repaired or forwarded to the manufacturer.
  • Information regarding manufacturer warranty terms is described further down this page.
  • Manufacturers' repair time averages 3 to 4 weeks.
  • Certain manufacturers have a policy of not repairing selected products. If the product fails within the warranty period, you will receive a replacement item from us. If this is not available, the item will be credited.

manufacturer's warranty conditions

Manufacturers generally apply the following provisions for repairs offered.

repair within the warranty period

  • In order to claim warranty, it is important to include a copy of the purchase receipt (and if applicable copy of your sales receipt). Without a valid bill, no warranty will be granted by the manufacturer.
  • If it becomes apparent during an examination at the service center that a warranty claim cannot be made - in accordance with the applicable provisions provided upon purchase of the product - an explanation and quotation will follow.
  • If you decide on the basis of the estimate not to have the article repaired, an examination fee will be charged.
  • Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT.
  • Shipping costs are not covered by the warranty and will be charged.

repair outside the warranty period

  • A product submitted for repair outside the warranty period will be repaired up to a predetermined amount without additional quotation.
  • If you receive an estimate first and decide not to have the item repaired, an examination fee will be charged.
  • If it appears during examination that the product is not defective, examination costs will be charged.
  • Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT.
  • Finally, you will receive an invoice from us which may include examination, repair and shipping costs.

parts

Is a part in need of replacement? Often we can order individual parts from the manufacturer. Supplied parts, ordered specifically for you, are not returned by the manufacturer.
