1989

Entrepreneur Frans Mellink founded Battery Benelux. His vision? A lifetime of good hearing! From day one of the registration at the Chamber of Commerce, his passion for the profession is central. He knows exactly what he wants. He knows exactly which direction to take.

1999

Battery Benelux proudly celebrates its 10th anniversary. In the first decade the company has already conquered a solid market position. Both in the Netherlands and abroad. Growth is in full swing.

2004

The upward trend continues. The organization therefore moves within Uithoorn to new premises, where great efficiency is achieved: we finally have our own warehouse. Things are finally starting to happen at our company!

2008

Frans Mellink transfers the business to the next generation. Well, it surely did not go unnoticed! But we are happy with this because the basis of the previous successful years - thanks to Frans - has been laid and proves to be a wonderful foundation on which to build further creatively.

2011

Innovation was and is always the key word in our organization. Because, of course the company launches a B2B-webshop. Ordering online is the new great convenience. Every single day we look for things to improve upon. And just like that; development never stands still.

2014

We proudly celebrate our 25th anniversary. At this point we can safely say that every professional audiologist in the Netherlands now knows our company and sees us as a valuable supplier with an extensive range of products.

2015

We move within Mijdrecht to our next location. There we not only have access to an even bigger warehouse (1000m²) but we can also welcome our customers and relations in a beautiful showroom. The coffee we serve there is also in tip-top order. That was our first priority, by the way. But at the end of the day we also like to have a soda or a beer there. That's how flexible we are.

2016

This is perhaps the most important year in the history of our company. Or call it an unforgettable milestone. Yes, indeed! We welcome our own unique, sometimes barking and never biting company dog! She is by far - to this day – our dearest colleague. No one can match her. No one sleeps as often as she does. The professionalization of our organization is a fact! But to say that we now have the best watchdog in the Netherlands? Hmmm... no, not really!

2017

The world is turning faster than ever. It goes without saying that we are therefore further professionalizing our procurement and turning it into a separate department. That way we can keep focus and build an even better network on this side of the organization. That is quite handy, because it allows us, in cooperation with our suppliers, to often present fantastic deals and offers to our customers. We call that: win-win-win-win-win.

2018

The upward curve in a dynamic and rapidly changing market continues. We are pleased about that. But technological developments also continue at a furious pace. What is default on Monday is technically challenged on Tuesday towards the next step. In these times, therefore, we cannot avoid further expanding our e-business team with passionate data nerds based on the logical credo: to measure is to know. Sometimes fatally exhausting but... oh so much fun! And, also very useful! Due to international expansion, the name BB Hearing is introduced.

2019

When there is something to celebrate, we do it. We exist for 30 years. Wow! For three decades we've been doing what we are supposed to do and the appreciation from the market is greater than ever.

2022

We do not make rash decisions. It feels like childbirth and we won't reveal here how wonderful (and tough!) discussions we had with each other behind the scenes. But, the final result is to be seen. We are incredibly proud of our completely redesigned B2B-webshop that contains everything it should. Yes... more than ever, we are the partner / supplier of all professionals in the hearing market in the Netherlands.
