BB Hearing, trade name of Battery Benelux B.V. is responsible for the processing of personal information as set out in this privacy statement.

For our processing we observe the requirements that the privacy legislation requires from us.

BB Hearing processes your personal information because you make use of our services and are already a customer or has indicated to want to become customer.

BB Hearing processes your personal information with the following purposes:

  • Assessing and accepting potential customers/suppliers.
  • Managing our relationship with (potential) customers/suppliers.
  • Handling (online) orders and payments.
  • Concluding and executing agreements.
  • Sending newsletters and/or information of a specific nature.
  • Carrying out a commercial analysis (location information subscribed newsletter reader).
  • Keeping the website, client portal and newsletter software (internet browser and device type) technically up to date.
  • Whenever we are obligated to do so by law.

storage and retention period

We store personal information only for as long and to the extent that we need it, at least for the duration of our relationship or agreement. If our relationship or agreement terminates, then we will store the information during the statutory retention periods which apply for us.

provision of information to third parties

We do not provide your information to third parties, unless this is necessary to be able to provide a request service to you, whenever you have given permission for this or whenever we are obligated by law. External parties who process your personal information under our responsibility do this solely for the purposes and under the conditions which we have agreed with them. These agreements are set out in a (processing) agreement.

Google Analytics

We make use of Google (Universal) Analytics in order to gain insight in the way our website is used. For this purpose use is made of cookies from the American company Google Inc. (hereinafter: ‘Google’). Google could provide the information which is collected through Google Analytics to third parties if Google is obligated to do so by law or if third parties are hired by Google to process the information. We have concluded a processing agreement with Google, in which Google is prohibited to use the acquired information for other services. In addition, we have disabled sending IP addresses to Google using Analytics. This way we ensure that the impact on your privacy is minimal.

We take the security of your personal information very serious and have taken suitable technical and organisational measures in order to prevent abuse of your information. From time to time we evaluate the taken measures and adjust it, based on the state of technical knowledge. If we make use of parties to process personal information on our behalf, then we obligate them to use at least the same level of security.

This statement does not apply to websites or services of third parties who are connected to our services by means of links. We cannot guarantee that these third parties handle your personal information in a reliable or safe way. We respect your right of inspection and correction of your personal information. You can send us a request to inspect this information, and to change or remove it.
